The Passions: Mel v. Gwynnie
Mel Gibson is
changing of the name of his movie to
The Passion of Christ, at least for its release in the US. Why? Because the name "The Passion" has already been taken by Miramax for a
film version of the Jeanette Winterson novel of the same name starring Gwynnie (old news--sorry). I already know which movie I'm more interested in seeing. How are they going to do those
webbed feet, and some of the more unfilmable scenes of people swallowing hearts and the like? Magic realism, here we come.
