Who Trusts Kerry? ++

Kerry appeared on Imus this morning to answer charges about the affair. When asked whether he had one, he issued a categorical denial:

There's nothing to report, nothing to report, nothing to talk about...
Kerry concluded, "The answer is no," and said that he has nothing to hide, related to an affair or anything else. Imus's co-host later said on the show that the "implosion" of the Kerry campaign was likely, but Imus himself said he didn't think Kerry was lying. Imus joked that since Kerry's been undergoing prostate cancer treatment for the last two years, he might be physically incapable of the affair anyway. Update: You can listen to Kerry on Imus now.

Well, this sure seems timely now: here's an article in Slate from December 2 about whether Teresa Heinz Kerry trusts her husband. The article details their pre-nuptial agreement, which may come into play if the affair story sticks.

Also, in a May 2003 Elle profile, Heinz Kerry makes a joke(?) about what she would have done if her first husband had an affair:

"I used to say to my husband, my late husband, 'If you ever get something I'll maim you. Not kill you, just maim you.' And we'd laugh, laugh, laugh." Heinz adds that she has never had any reason to suspect either of her husbands. "Not for one day, because what I expect of them, they have a right to expect of me. Maybe I'm into 18-year-olds." At which Heinz's campaign handler, former political journalist Chris Black, cautioned bleakly: "That was a joke."
So does this mean Hillary is going to jump into the race?
