A government-funded psychological study of conservatism, called "Political Conservatism as Motivated Social Cognition" and published in the May issue of the APA's journal, has gotten the administration all riled up. In it, they call conservatism a set of neuroses rooted in "fear and aggression, dogmatism and the intolerance of ambiguity." Now the authors are receiving hate mail.
