Entertaining essay from a gay DC novelist with a "straight eye", who laments the Queer Eye assumption that gay men have an innate ability to transform slovenly straight fellas into suave sophisticates with their superior taste and decorating abilities. Some gay guys have bad fashion sense, it seems, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution is quick to let us know it.
