NY police used sledgehammers and
NY police used sledgehammers and power saws to hack their way into a recently-closed Williamsburg firehouse that had been barricaded by neighborhood residents, after two female plain-clothes cops restrained protesters trying to keep the last remaining fire truck inside the building. Residents have been fighting to keep this station open since the '70's. The Post doesn't like it one bit: "The people of Williamsburg are also wondering who sent those hard-hearted, plainclothes women to trick them out of their truck."
