The Cooper-Hewitt is displaying a building made out of soda-bottle plastic. They don't call it "soda bottle plastic", though. They call it "SmartWrap." The article is a little confusing, but it sounds like eventually the plastic could be imprinted with electronics, creating illumination and shading wherever the owner desired -- i.e., windows, electronic displays, and so on. The building was designed by KieranTimberlake Associated LLP, which I guess is the firm that Kieran Culkin and Justin Timberlake started after they graduated from architecture school. Thanks, guys!
