WTC Memorial Animations

Maybe this will save you a little time. Here are links to the animated "fly-throughs" for each of the WTC memorial finalists. Each link goes to a high-bandwidth streaming Quicktime file.

• Votives in Suspension (blah design; animation looks like a first-person shooter)
• Lower Waters (ship from Alien plus exposed foundation wall, token trees)
• Passages of Light: Memorial Cloud (creepy: people look like ghosts)
• Suspending Memory (interesting CG work; mournful string music; sad to watch)
• Garden of Lights (did Kubrick design half of this?)
• Reflecting Absence (cool CG water/shadow effects; more mournful strings)
• Dual Memory (cheesy music; more ghost people)
• Inversion of Light (music/effects; Koyaanisqatsi meets the Vietnam Memorial)
