Oscar hates America
Update: As far as I'm concerned Sean Penn and Dustin Lance Black are as American as apple pie and Mickey Rourke, but they are somewhat more marginalized than say, Meryl Streep.

As far as I'm concerned, the lovely Dustin Lance Black is American as they come, but I'm not sure Bill O'Reilly agrees.
Right now on Billoreilly.com: "Milk" screenwriter touts gay marriage. During his acceptance speech for the Best Original Screenplay Oscar, "Milk" writer Dustin Lance Black goes on a pro-gay marriage rant. As far as "real" America's relationship with gay people, the protesters that Sean Penn referred to in his acceptance speech were indeed from the Westboro Baptist Church (the people behind the "God hates fags" website whose main idea seems to be that God hates all Americans because we're so unholy and sinful) and they were holding up signs near the theater saying "USA = Fags". So according to these nutcases, I guess gay does equal American, but in a totally f'ed up, insane way that doesn't mean anything.
